Colour grading the final edit

To colour grade our footage we used Adobe After Effects, this was done to allow us to alter the look of the footage without actually changing the original footage.

To do this we had to create several adjustment layers, one was to do a main colour grade and the others were to correct some of the shots that were a bit off since we filmed the shots on different days and unfortunately we didn't have the same lighting conditions.

To do the colour grade we use the plugin Gamma/Pedestal/Gain, essentially these are the dark tones, mid tones and highlight. This plugin allowed us to change each colour separately which was helpful since we needed to reduce the reds and greens to get the blue cold feel that we needed.
