Analysis of a previous student project

                               
I really enjoyed watching this opening, they really were able to capture the filmic look. Without a doubt the letter box effect helped this. The titles are well animated and are plain and easy to read. However the colour theme of their opening seemed to change throughout and was an aspect that really let it down because the colour really defines the mood of the film and it led to me not being sure of the mood they were going for as sometimes it looked like a warm inviting scene but other times it was a very cold scene. The scenes where we see the characters phones, to me were not effective as it pulls the audience away from the characters. Although the lighting they had in some scenes was very moody and looked beautiful furthermore their use of slow motion gave the whole thing a really nice feel.
